शान्ति मंत्र:, peace mantra

सह नाववतु। सह नौ भुनक्तु। सह वीर्यं करवावहै।
तेजस्विनावधीतमस्तु मा विद्विषावहै॥
ॐ शान्ति: शान्ति: शान्ति: ।

ॐ - It is a mystical or sacred syllable placed at the beginning of most Hindu texts as a sacred exclamation to be uttered at the beginning and end of a reading of the Vedas or any prayer or mantra. - Pronounced as "oum"
सह - Together
नाववतु = नौ + अवतु
----------नौ - the two of us
----------अवतु - may be protected

भुनक्तु - may be bestowed enjoyment upon

वीर्यम् - bravery, heroism, great energy
करवावहै - may us two work
तेजस्विनावधीतमस्तु = तेजस्वि + नौ + अधीतम् + अस्तु

Meaning: Together, may the two of us be protected.
Together, may the two of us be bestowed enjoyment upon.(may we be nourished.)
Together, may us two do bravery.(may us work with great energy.)
May the two of us become brilliant at studies.
(and) never may we two quarrel.
